OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 13: Stars

Hi everyone! Sorry for the posting pause! The 31 Day Challenge sadly did not work, but I had fun doing the designs that I actually did! Now I am doing to show you the mani's that I did late! This one was for day 13 and the theme was stars. The black heart is actually a fimo cane star that I painted black. I actually painted four more black and was going to put them on the rest of my fingers, but the one black star didn't stay down well so I just said no! The base is China Glaze's Sweet Hook! This is a picture with no top coat and the base is Nail Tek's Intensive Therapy II. Thank you for reading and see you soon! -Zoe

-China Glaze Lemon Fizz (2 coats, some bare patches but evened out well)
-Black and Red Acrylic Paint
-Base coat: Nail Tek's Intensive Therapy II

This took a lot of time and I love how it turned out! I wish I could do nail art like this all the time! Thank you for reading and see you tomorrow! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 24: Inspired by a Tutorial

Good afternoon everyone! Today is my second blog post using my new camera and I really love how the pictures turned out! For my design I used The Nailasaurus' Waterfall nail art tutorial. I really like her design but I don't think this is a design for me. I am not sure what I don't like about it, it's just not my favorite. On the other hand the swatches for my base came out spectacular and I can't wait for you to see them! LOL! I will let you see the picture now! Thank you for reading and I will see ya tomorrow! -Zoe <3

All products were purchased by me!
Polishes Used:
-China Glaze Roguish Red (1 coat, super glossy, no problems!)
-Yellow, Orange, and Light Yellow Acrylic Paint
-Silver Glitter Striper by Kiss Nail Art Paint
-Base Coat is Nail Tek's Intensive Therapy II

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 23: Music Inspired

Hi everyone! I just want to say that pictures will be a lot better now! I got a new camera and I love it and hopefully you will love the picture quality more! For today's theme I was inspired by Beautygnome, I believe. I used 2 coats of Zoya's Purity for the base and then did the music notes in black acrylic paint. For my base coat I used Nail Tek's Intensive Therapy II and the top coat I used was Out the Door! Thank you for reading! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 22: Inspired by an Animal

Hello everyone! Welcome back! Today is day 22! I can't believe we are already in the home stretch of the challenge, that means that July is almost over! :( But you can look forward to many great things coming in August! So for today's design I was inspired by Cassansaurus on Instagram! The owl would have been better, but I need better brushes! Overall I had a lot of fun painting these nails and I hope you like them! Thank you for reading today and I will see you next time! -Zoe

All products purchased by me!
Polishes Used:
  • China Glaze Peachy Keen (2 coats, good formula, some black streaking)
  • Black and white acrylic paint for the dots and owl
  • Nail Tek's Intensive Therapy II (Base coat)

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 20: 3-D Nails

Hello and good afternoon everyone! I am in love with these nails! As you may know caviar nails were in awhile ago and I never did them. So for todays 3-D challenge I decided to do some. I wish I would have done them sooner! I love the way they look and with some practice I think I could do some cool designs with caviar beads! The base is 2 coats of Avon's Cotton Candy and the mixed set of beads I got from my nail mail buddy Pleased to Please You on Instagram and the silver ones I got from Michaels Craft Store! That is about it for today! Thank you for reading and have a good weekend! -Zoe

Please excuse the quality!

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 19: Glitter

Good afternoon! Yesterday's theme was glitter.  I wanted to use loose glitter, but because I am so far behind in this challenge I wanted to do something easier and much quicker. So I grabbed China Glaze's Sea Spray and Lorelei's Tiara and did a quick glitter gradient. It didn't turn out as I wanted it, but it looks decent!

All polishes were bought by me!
I used 1 coat of China Glaze's Sea Spray with one coat of the glitter. For my base coat I used Nail Tek's Intensive Therapy II. Thank you for reading today! -Zoe

Mint Mani for Talia Joy

Hi and good evening. Today's post is very special because a young girl, Talia Joy passed away a few days ago from 2 types of cancers. Talia was a thirteen year old girl who was a talented makeup and nail artist. She was on the Ellen show where is was made an honorary Covergirl! So the nail art community decided to do mint mani's because Talia's last Instagram post was of her mint manicure. I chose to do a simple swatch of Sally Hansen's Mint Sorbet in her honor!

This is two coats of Mint Sorbet without  a top coat. For my base coat I used Nail Tek's Intensive Therapy II. Thank you for reading and have a good evening! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 18: Delicate

Hello! Good afternoon everyone! Today I have day 18 of the 31 day challenge and today's theme is delicate. I couldn't decide what I wanted to do for today because when I think of delicate I think of something that can be broken like glass. I didn't want to try and do glass nails because I don't know where I would start so I thought alittle more and came up with this design that reminds me of a flower!

I used two coats of China Glaze's Naked and then used acrylic paint for the dots. For my base coat I used Nail Tek Intensive Therapy II. Stay tuned for some more posts today! I am slowly catching up! Thanks for reading! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 16: Ruffian/Half Moon

Good evening everyone! Long time no nail art post! Finally getting back into the blogging mood after being caught up in training for cross country and P.R.s and such! All missed nail art posts will be completed at the end of the month! Todays challenge is todo a ruffian or a half moon. I took the swatch of China Glaze's Orange Knockout and added one coat of Hanging in the Balance in the half moon shape to my ring finger. The half moon isnt perfect because I did it free hand and the polish got kind of chunky, but I think it looks fine! So I hope you all had a good Tuesday and I will talk to you guys lata! -Zoe :D

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 12: Dots

Hi! Good evening to most people! :D I finally got one out on time! Today's theme is dots! I wanted to get a full rainbow in, but I managed to get 4 out of the 6 colors! Good enough! I used two coats of Zoya's Purity and then acrylic paint for the rainbow! That is about it so thank you very much for reading and join my tomorrow for the theme of stars! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 10 and 11: Metallic and Stripes

Hello! Sorry for the lateness. (I seem to always start my posts like this.... maybe I should get on top of things!) Yesterday was busy and I didnt have time edit and post these. So for day 10 and 11 the themes were to do metallic nails and stripes. I combined the two to make it easier.

For day 10 I did a simple swatch of China Glaze's Platinum Silver with 2 coats. You can't tell in this picture but this polish shows all the brush strokes! It is super annoying but with top coat you can't tell as much. The formula was good and didn't take much effort!

For day 11 I just took a fan brush dipped it in some black paint and went over my nails. This looked better in my head but it was worth a try! So that is it! Hopefully my day 12 nails will be up tonight! Thank you for reading and see ya next time! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 8 and 9: Matte and Textured

Hi! Sorry I missed two days in a row. Today I was lazy! For this two days I just did a simple matte mani, using OPI's  I saw...U saw...We saw...Warsaw. This is my favorite dark blue ever! I used 1 coat of the dark blue and one coat of Essie's Matte About You. Then once that had dried I took some silver rhinestones and put a border around my nail and top coated it with another coat of Matte About You. That is about it so thank you for reading! And by the way my theme day for today will be up tonight! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 7: Holo

Hi! Good evening everyone! Today's theme is holo. I have already showed you both of my holo polishes (the Laylas) and I was going to skip this challenge day, but I remember that I wore a holo topcoat over China Glaze's Spontaneous, so that is what I will be showing you today!

All products were purchased by me!
This is 2 coats of China Glaze's Spontaneous with 1 coat of Northern Lights Silver holo topcoat on it. It is actually the mani that I wore on my birthday! So that is all I have for you today! Thanks for reading and I will see you tomorrow! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 6: Neon

Hi! How has all of your weekends been going? Mine has been good just painted nails and watching Youtube videos! Today I has yesterday's post that I didn't get to. It is just a simple swatch of China Glaze's Orange Knockout. I did do nail art with it and you will see that in a few days! So this polish took 3 to 4 coats. I am sure you could get a way with 2 to 3 but I was being picky! Formula wise it was good and it is also super bright!

All products were purchase by me!
Thank you for reading and I will have today's challenge post up tonight! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge! Day 1: Pink

Hello and welcome to my first challenge on this blog! I am doing the Oh Mon Dieu Challenge by Craftynail, Eeeek Nail Polish and Brijitsdigits! I am super excited because this challenge means nail art and I need to get better on that! For day one the theme is pink! I chose to do a simple tribal ish design!

I bought all the products used for this design!
I used OPI Pink Friday as the base and then used a small detail brush and acrylic paints for the design! Swatches of Pink Friday will come at a later date! Thank you for reading and enjoy your Monday! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 3: Purple

Sorry I am so late with this post! Yesterday I went for a bike ride with my friend to Subway and that took up most of my afternoon! So I am once again playing catch up! Also, I would like to say Happy Fourth of July to my fellow American friends! For yesterday's challenge you had to do purple nails! I chose to do an ombre using China Glaze's purple ombre kit!

I really love the quality of the picture and how it looks so crisp and clean! I wish all my pictures where like this! On my index finger I used one coat of Sweet Hook. On my middle finger I used 2 coats of Spontaneous. On my ring finger I used 2 coats of Grape Pop and lastly on my pinky I used 2 coats of Crimson. The colors look good together and they all have a nice formula! For the pictures I used a base coat and no top coat! Thank you for reading and talk to you later with another post! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 5: Skittle Nails

Haha! You probably thought that I wouldn't get this post up, right? Well you are wrong I am on top of things today! So today's challenge theme is skittle nails! This is one of my best manis that I have ever done! They will definitely be in my top July mani's post in early August! So my nail mail buddy also sent my two polishes by Wet n Wild. I Need a Refresh-Mint (blue) and Tropicalia (pink.) The blue only took one coat and the pink took two. Tropicalia is one of the weirdest pinks I have ever had! It is a color in some lights and a hot pink in the other! These polishes had really good formulas and I have nothing bad to say about them!

Polishes were sent in nail mail!

Thank you for reading and I hope you like my nails! I think the two colors go really well together! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 4: Black and White

I am catching up dont you worry! This is yesterday's OMD Challenge. The theme for yesterday was black and white. I tried to do a tape manicure, but the polish bleed under the tape. (If you see a white bump that is me covering up some of the black polish!) For these nails I used Zoya's Purity and Raven and Nail Tek II for the base coat!

I used acrylic paint for the dots. Not super proud of this design, but with practice if will get better! Thank you for reading and talk to you later gators! :D -Zoe

Fourth of July Nails

Hello! Happy late Fourth of July! I hope you all had a good one! Before we start I would like to say that I am very proud of these nails, I love the colors red, white, and blue together! For the mani my nail mail buddy Pleased to Please You sent me some red striping tape so I used that on my pinky and ring finger. On my index and middle I used Barry M Americano (I think that is the name) and then on my thumb I painted red stripes! My base coat is Nail Tek and my top coat is Out the Door. My base colors are Zoya Purity and Barry M Cobalt Blue.

All products besides the base and topcoat were giveaway winnings. I bought the topcoat and base with my own money!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed the fireworks yesterday if you live in the US! -Zoe

OMD 31 Day Challenge Day 2: Blue

Sorry! I am already behind on this challenge! I promise I will keep up though! So yesterday was the second day in the OMD 31 Day Challenge which had the theme of blue. I chose to use 3 coats of Layla's Ocean Rush on all my fingers except my ring finger. On my ring finger for a base I used 2 coats of Zoya's Purity. For my leopard print I used Ocean Rush for the spots and black acrylic paint to outline them!

All products used were purchased by me.
Thank you for reading and keep an eye out there will be another blog post tonight with Day 3! -Zoe

Birthday CupCake Nail Art!

Hi everyone! Today is my 14th birthday! I am pre writing this right now because I when this goes live I will probably be doing something awesome! For my birthday I did two different manis. This one and then other that is more of a swatch like that you will be seeing tomorrow! But for today I did birthday cupcake nails! I used Nails Inc Sweets Way and Pudding Lane! Before we get into the nail art lets start with the base polishes themselves. Pudding Lane required 2 coats and with both polishes you have to be patience and wait for both of them to dry fully before adding another coat. You dont want clumps of sparkles everywhere! Sweets Way required 3 coats. Glitter coverage was good and I didn't have to dab.

All products used were bought with my own money!
For the nail art I used acrylic paint and for the design I used a base coat and a topcoat to make sure it would last for a few days. So that is all I have for you today! Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow! :D -Zoe

Layla Flash Black Swatch

Hello! Good evening! I am so glad it is Friday, not that it really matters because I am on summer vacation, but Friday is always a good day! What do you have planned for your weekend? Tomorrow is my 14th birthday (YAY!) so I will be busy with that! I will have a blog post for you showing you my birthday nails version 1! But today I have a holo swatch for you! Out of my entire collection I only have 2 holos so I really like this polish, Layla's Flash Black!

This isn't a picture that I took in direct light, but I think it shows off the shaded side of the holo really well! If you think this is cool the direct light version is even better! For this swatch I did not use a base coat or topcoat. With most holos they say to use a ridge filling base coat to get rid of ridges in nails because holos like to show those off, but I did not have a problem with that! I did not buff my nails either before this swatch. For this polish to become opaque I used 3 coats and like most holos they can drag and become patchy! That is all I have for today, do you have any Layla holos? How do you like them? Thanks for reading and talk to you tomorrow! -Zoe :D

Rimmel Hard Edged

Welcome my readers to another blog post! Today is another post of a polish that I forgot to post before!  Rimmel Hard Edged is a brown polish with purple undertones. It took 2-3 coats with no base coat or top coat added. There isn't much to say about this polish, I do like it, but it isnt "my" color.
Thank you for reading and enjoy the rest of your night! -Zoe

Sinful Colors Cloud 9

Hi! So you may remember that I said I was done with swatching my Sinful Color's collection. Well, I am but I forgot to post this so here this is! This polish is Sinful Color's Cloud 9. I really dislike the color. The formula is okay. I can not remember the exact amounts of coats this polish took to become opaque. I would say that Cloud 9 is a retro orange with a slight shimmer to it. For this swatch I do not have a base coat or top coat on. What do you think about it? Would you wear this orange? Thank you for reading and I will be back tomorrow for another forgotten nail polish swatch! -Zoe

I bought this polish with my own money.

Zoya Blaze and Storm Swatches

Hello! Today is my mom's birthday so I am busy with that, but I wanted to post these swatches of two more Zoya's from the Ornate collection, Blaze and Storm. Blaze is a dark red holo with pink tones to it and Storm is a black holo. Both only took two coats and had great application! It also turns out that they have a great holo as well! :D For the swatches I did not use a base or top coat and the photos were taken in direct natural light!

Polishes were bought with my own money!
Thank you for reading and I will see you tomorrow with some odds and ends posts that I forgot to publish awhile ago! Lol Bye! -Zoe

Zoya Ziv Swatch

Hello! I hope you all are having a great Monday! Today I have another Zoya swatch for you and it is Zoya's Ziv! This polish was apart of the Ornate Collection and I really like the foil ness to it! FUN FACT: Tt is the only gold polish that I have!!! So I will let you take a look at this beauty!

I bought this polish with my own money.
I had no application issues and I only used 2 coats! Also I did not use a base coat or a top coat for this swatch. Overall I really like this polish and it is a great base for some holiday nail art! What do you think about it? Thanks for reading and I will talk to you tomorrow with another Zoya swatch! -Zoe

Zoya Beatrix Swatch

Hello hello my readers! Sorry for no post yesterday! If you follow me on Twitter you know that I did a 5k yesterday and then ran 2.5 miles later in the day so I was quite tired and didn't have any pre wrote posts to publish for you! But I should have posts for you everyday for quite awhile! Today I have a swatch for you of Zoya's Beatrix PixieDust polish for you! This is my first texture polish for you and I really love it! I can't wait to get the purple PixieDust from their fall collection! Purple is one of my favorite colors! (Besides blue and green!)

(I purchased this polish with my own money!)
I think my photo shows off the texture and color pretty well! Beatrix took 2 coats with good application and it had an overall good texture! For this photo I used natural light with no base or top coat! So do you have any texture polishes? How do you like them? Also please follow me on Twitter and Instagram for more updates! Link in the sidebar! Thanks for reading and I hope you have an amazing Sunday! -Zoe :D

Zoya Robyn Swatch

Hello! I would just like to say welcome to my first three followers! I very much appreciate you and you three now give me a reason to blog! Please leave feedback and things you want to see on my blog in the feature in the comment box below! Just a little introduction of myself, I am Zoe and I am 13 years old (going to be 14 in 8 days!!!!) and I got into nail polish when I was 10 or so! I have a Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest for my blog so those links are in the sidebar! So for today I am beginning to swatch my Zoya Collection! For my first color I swatched Zoya's Robyn.

Robyn is a dark sky blue, but it is very bright! Not neon, but bright! It took 2 coats and it was a bit patchy on the first coat but a second smoothed it all out! For my picture Robyn is shown in a light box with natural light from my window! Also I am not wearing a base coat or a top coat and this polish I bought with my own money! This is definitely my favorite sky blue! What is your favorite sky blue polish? Thanks for reading and I will have another Zoya swatch tomorrow! -Zoe

Sinful Colors Nirvana

Good Thursday afternoon everyone! How has your day been? Mine has been pretty good, just painting nails!  Today I have for you a swatch of Sinful Color's Nirvana. I am pretty sure this is my last polish in my Sinful Colors collection! Then I will be moving onto swatching my Zoya's for you! This color I really do not like. Just something about it! It took 2 or 3 coats, I can't remember. The formula is thin, sheer, and watery. It also kind of smells bad. Nirvana is a plain brown creme. Nothing special. Also for this swatch I did not use a basecoat or a topcoat.

When I got this I was first starting my polish collection and I decided I needed every color from the rainbow and then the neutrals. I then decided it would a good idea to buy from a cheaper brand to save money. Just no! I haven't used this color since that day almost 2 ish years ago! Make sure you do your research before buying a polish! Have a good night! -Zoe
P.S. I bought this with my own money! :D

Sinful Colors Frenzy Swatch

Hello! Good Monday morning! Hope your weekend was nice! Today and for the next two days I will be finishing swatching for you my small Sinful Colors collection. Today I have for you a purple glitter by the name of Frenzy. For the photos below I used 1 coat. Like the other glitters I have by Sinful Colors I am not a fan because the base for the glitter is of a watery consistency which makes the polish hard to control. Also the glitter in Frenzy is sparse and tiny. Like I mentioned before Frenzy is made up of many different colors of purple, some light and some dark. There is also a mix of small blue glitter in it as well. Also I used a base coat but no top coat. What do you think of it? Would you by it? Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow! -Zoe

*Polish was bought with my own money, not provided for review.

Sinful Colors Swatches

Good Sunday afternoon to everyone! Today I have swatches of three Sinful Color's polishes. They are San Francisco, Happy Ending and Call You Later. Happy Ending is on the top two fingers and then San Francisco is on the bottom two. Happy Ending required three coats and is quite sheer. It is a light grass green with a yellow shimmer. San Francisco required three coats as well and it is also sheer. It has a lighter green shimmer to it. For these swatches I used a base coat, but no top coat.

I then took Call You Later and put it over each of the colors in one coat. The glitter is sparse in some areas with the polish it is in being watery. The glitter in Call You Later is very fine and comes in many different greens. Overall I am not a fan of these just because of how many coats they take to become opaque. Do you have any colors by Sinful Colors? Do you like them? -Zoe

*Polish was bought with my own money, not provided for review.

Rimmel Night Before Swatch

Good morning everyone! Happy Saturday! I hope you all have awesome plans for this weekend! I just plan on working out and doing my nails! Today I have a swatch of Rimmel's Night Before. This polish has a shorter and a bit fatter brush which takes some getting used to. For the picture below it is taken in a light box. I also used a base coat with no top coat for this swatch. It kinda reminds me of Max Factor Fantasy Fire which I also have. You can see the orange shift near the cuticles and in the bottle. There is not much else to say about this polish... so yeah! Talk to you guys tomorrow! :D -Zoe

Essie Borrowed and Blue Swatch

Hello! Welcome to Friday! Today I have a quick swatch of Essie's Borrowed and Blue. I love this blue! It is just the perfect baby blue! For this swatch I used 2 thin coats and 1 thicker. The polish itself is thin after you wipe off your brush from the extra polish anyway. For the last coat I used a bit of a thicker coat and then the polish become runny and you had to watch it to make sure it didn't flood your cuticles as you applied it! Overall I love this polish no matter what the formula! I should have 1 or 2 more posts today so keep and eye out for those! Thanks for reading on this Friday! -Zoe

Spring WaterColor Nails

Hello! Sorry I have abandoned the blog! I just havent felt well and my life has been happening and there has been no time to paint my nails! A few days ago I had time and I created these bright spring watercolor nails. I just painted on two coats of Zoya's white polish (Can't remember the name) and then I took a makeup sponge and some acrylic paint and I created this design! On my pointer and middle finger I painted one coat of a sparkle polish and called that my accent nails! :D I really like how these look and they were super simple to make! Thanks for taking the time to read this! -Zoe

Hai! Welcome to my blog!

Hai everyone this is Zoe and this is going to be my nail blog! I don't know how posting will be and if I will be very active! I will try my hardest though!
